Provides many resources, educational training and support for individuals and groups in the promotion of healthy youth behaviors; coordinates It’s Everybody’s Business initiative and the statewide Regional Alcohol and Drug Awareness Resources (RADAR).
Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids
A major advocacy organization that monitors all tobacco prevention and cessation activities at the national and state levels and provides resource materials for both community members and advocates for tobacco control.
The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)
Provides national leadership in the federal effort to prevent alcohol, tobacco and drug problems.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) – Adolescent Tobacco Use
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention focus on the importance of helping children and youth grow up tobacco free. Many statistical reports and fact sheets.
Food and Drug Administrations – Tobacco Products Center (FDA)
FDA’s Tobacco Products Center outlines the provisions from the 2009 Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act that helps protect youth from tobacco products and sets restrictions on sales, manufacturing and promotions of tobacco products.
Kansas Communities That Care (CTC)
A research-based youth survey conducted annually by Greenbush Research Services that tracks the use of alcohol, and other drugs and risk and protective factors.
